Today is a difficult time to be a doctor in private practice. An increasingly regulatory environment is requiring substantial investment in infrastructure.
When combined with shrinking reimbursements, some practices are experiencing a negative cash flow (“Doctors Going Broke”, http://money.cnn.com/2012/01/05/smallbusiness/doctors_broke/index.htm). Even traditionally safe specialties, such as cardiology and oncology, are feeling the pinch.
Southeastern Regional Medical Center (SRMC) of Lumberton, North Carolina, is here to help. We are a large regional health care organization comprised of a main campus covering 16 acres, and over 20 ambulatory clinics. Because of our size, planned growth, and commitment to early adoption of health care regulations, we have already made huge investments in infrastructure. Now we want to leverage our infrastructure to benefit both private practices and the communities they serve.
SRMC is offering secure, leased access to our servers and to our Electronics Health Records (EHR) solution. We are partnered with eClinicalWorks, whose eCW application is helping more than 55,000 providers nationwide provide excellent patient care, conform to ever-changing regulations, and protect the bottom line.
The eCW application is an award-winning, CCHIT-certified, EHR product that helps you manage your practice efficiently. It includes both EMR and Practice Management capabilities, and also has the ability to securely exchange clinical information with other providers in your community or even across the country. With eCW as your EHR, you will be able to meet the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures.
By leasing access to eCW from SRMC, not only is your investment in computer infrastructure greatly reduced, your tech support budget is reduced as well. Our experienced, professional staff monitors SRMC’s servers hosting eCW, as well as your workstations and printers running in your office. This service is included in the leasing agreement, and eliminates the need of hiring outside IT professionals.
SRMC also has two certified eCW trainers on staff to ensure that your office will quickly become proficient in using the application. Additionally, our experienced team of Application Analysts and Microsystems Technicians are available to quickly troubleshoot any issues you may face. If necessary, we can escalate issues to eClinicalWorks’ full technical support services.
Take the next step in ensuring your practice’s growth in the face of an ever-changing future. Contact Eric Harper at 910-671-5135 or Betsy Long at 910-735-8840 today for more information.
SRMC has partnered with eCW, and we now invite you to partner with us. Let’s work together to promote stronger, healthier communities.
