Southeastern Hospice Houseopened in April 2007 to provide a peaceful and loving environment for the last days of the terminally ill who are interested in physical and emotional comfort rather than potentially heroic efforts to cure. It is designed to resemble a home, and the staff provides the caregiver tasks that allow patient, family and friends to spend more time together.

Our beautiful facility, nestled in a quiet and picturesque setting, features twelve (12) private rooms, each designed with the physical and psychological comforts of home in mind. All rooms have a private handicapped-accessible bathroom with a walk-in shower with bench seat. The rooms include a bed, bedside table, television and two chairs that each convert to a single bed.
Southeastern Hospice House also features two solariums
Southeastern Hospice House also features two solariums, two family living rooms, chapel, library, laundry room, family kitchen and dining area. The facility is fully staffed with nurses and nursing assistants 24 hours a day who provide individualized care and education. Our staff also includes a chaplain and social worker to assist with emotional and spiritual issues that often accompany end of life scenarios. A beautiful chapel, along with a quiet room, provides a peaceful place for contemplation and prayer. The outside grounds also offer several charming and serene areas for family members as well as a playground for our younger visitors. The family kitchen houses an around-the-clock coffee machine as well as cold drinks, bottled waters, and snacks. Families are permitted to cook meals if desired.
