Walk of Love Engraved Brick Walkway
Many of our families and community members have expressed a desire to contribute to Southeastern Hospice House in a way that also commemorates or honors a family member, friend or organization.
Our Walk of Love, surrounded by beautiful landscaping in our front garden area, fulfills this wish and provides a picturesque setting for peace and reflection. For our patients, family members, and other visitors, the Walk of Love is a quiet reminder of those who have left an indelible imprint on their lives. Proceeds from the Walk of Love help support a variety of essential patient and family services including grief support groups, Camp Care, volunteer training and respite care. These funds also help cover uncompensated care costs for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
Bricks can be purchased at any time throughout the year and are engraved and added to the walk quarterly. Southeastern Hospice House hosts an annual Walk of Love Dedication Ceremony to celebrate those new bricks that have been added to the walk throughout the year.
A $100 tax-deductible donation will purchase a nutmeg-colored brick with up to 3 lines with 20 characters per line. (Spaces and punctuation count as characters.) Each brick will become a permanent piece of the beautiful grounds of Southeastern Hospice House. Please call the SRMC Foundation Office at 671-1482 for more information.
Southeastern Hospice House has a goal to allow those with life-limiting conditions to live their final days with respect and dignity in a home-like atmosphere, without pain, and with a 24-hour care team. We also strive to ensure that their families can survive that loss in a healthy way. Over the years, our values and commitment have not changed.
We are blessed with a community of donors who share our value of a healthy end-of-life journey. Their support has helped us enhance the quality of our service and expand our reach to all those who need us regardless of ability to pay.
Your gifts make our community a better place to live because they not only help people to die with peace and dignity, but they also ensure that surviving caregivers, families and friends have help to recover from their losses, too.
All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations, as Robeson County’s only not-for-profit hospice agency, we always truly appreciate all financial help in providing excellent care to the terminally ill and their families.
